"NEW GUNS"

For this photogram I played around a little bit with rule of thirds. I placed the full body of the pirate directly in the center of the frame, but used the background image to frame his body. The lines through the photo direct the eye up from the words on the bottom, through the boat which is intersecting the body, and then to the face and eyes of the pirate man. The tones of dark and light came out well through the transparency.
The strongest principle of design found in the print is unity. There are no unnecessary details or mergers, and the contrasting images work well together to create a balanced composition.
