Tate E.
I choose this piece as my best piece because its the piece I put the most thought into. It actually has a story to it and makes you think. The cropping is different because it cuts off the subject slightly and also positions him at the right side, which utilizes the rule of thirds. The angle of view is aimed slightly down which enhances the feeling of sadness and grief. The large amount of detail in the trees and leaves makes the subject more noticeable because he is less detailed. The lighting was good because it was on a sunny day which luckily increased the contrast in the picture. I think the contrast in the photo is the most successful component in this photo because it creates clarity and makes it feel more real. That is why I believe this is my best photo.
